The products have been structurally analyzed and the structural integrity verified by independent structural engineers. The lintels are manufactured to ISO 9002 and have been accepted by the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC). The products should be used in accordance with good building practice and the National Building Regulations.
Please note that stairway shuttering, steel arches, steel lintels and shuttering for balconies are registered designs and patented, which patent is held by Mr. Christopher ‘Hill of Steelform SA’. Any shuttering supplied by any company other than Steelform SA is then a forgery & copyright infringement applies. Our shuttering is that of high guaranteed quality. South African patent 2004/0117.

Curved Open Tread

With the open tread you have can create that illusion of open space and have the design adapted to it’s surroundings by bending to fit the space
Straight Open Tread Stairs
A stair stringer (also called ‘string’ or ‘stringer board’) is the housing on either side of a flight of stairs, into which the treads and risers are fixed.
On open tread stairs, treads are fixed between two stringers and at Steelform we can also supply open staircases with balustrades attached to either one or both of the stringers.
Straight Cantilever Stairs
A cantilever is a beam anchored at only one end. Cantilevered Stairs have independent steps which are anchored to a bearing wall or a stringer beam embedded in a wall, with the help of steel bolts or pins. The idea is to give the impression of floating stairs. Steelform’s cantilevered staircases can be manufactured in various materials, shapes and finishes
Curved Cantilever Stairs
This curved variation of the cantilever stairs still has the illusion of a floating staircase but in a style more fitting to it’s environment.
